The News Museum is Europe’s greatest Media and Communication experience.
The Museum occupies the space that was previously home to the Toy Museum in the historical centre of Sintra. It evokes and reveals media coverage of events in recent history and allows visitors to interact with Radio and TV.
The Museum pays tribute to journalists immortalized through their work; presents the industry’s main protagonists; projects the evolution of media coverage of war; contextualizes significant conflicts that have left their mark; recalls the “bad news” of our time.
The equipment is up-to-date and interactive and includes a small auditorium prepared for educational visits. The personalized experience, available in Portuguese and English, includes a total of 16 hours of video and other formats.
